Jonathan C. M. Chan

Managing Director, PMI Mortgage Insurance Asia Limited (PMI Asia)

Jonathan C.M. Chan oversees all operational aspects of PMI Asia's operations. His responsibilities include evaluating and monitoring Hong Kong and other Asian markets, establishing and managing customer relationships, recommending risk management policies, and developing new product lines for the Asian region.

Chan has more than 18 years of experience in the banking and finance fields in roles ranging from corporate marketing to risk management. He joined PMI in April 2004, coming from the GE Global Financial Restructuring Group where he was Vice President – Asia Risk, and led GE’s participation in bank auctions of non-performing assets in Asia. Prior to GE, he was the Vice President of the Hong Kong Mortgage Corporation Limited (HKMC), managing their mortgage insurance business. HKMC is PMI’s valued customer and a strategic business ally in Hong Kong.

He is a member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
